Barkesdale AFB situated near base in northwest Louisiana is home of the 2nd and 307th Bomber Wing and in that the home of our only 2 active B-52 base in the USAF inventory.
With Covid pandemic in our back burner, 2023 welcomes a great year for normalizing our life and with Spring time coming, AIRSHOW season starts….. Defenders of Liberty 2023.
This year’s static display of Military Aircraft have been reduced….. Mainly local B-52H and very few fighters. Only thing that comes to of notices comes from the Oklahoma ANG F-16C Blk 42 , and Louisiana ANG F-15C.
The unique part of Seeing the Defender’s of Liberty airshow comes from parking with rows of active B-52H in the tarmac and 2023 is not exceptions. Here are the goodies …. THE BIG BAD BUFF.
Aerial Display comes from Air Combat Command F-22A , F16 demonstration , 2x B-1B flyby and F15C demo from the 159th FIghter Wing. Not to mention the United States Navy Blue Angels.
The highlight of the show comes from the F-15C demonstration. Here are some of the highlights
