2020-5-6 mark a historical moment when the United States Navy jet demonstration team did a fly by for Texas, Louisiana honoring our Healthcare workers for this COVID 19 virus pandemic for year 2020. The Blue Angels took off from their home base in NAS Pensacola, FL and meetup with 3x KC-10 tanker which supported the entire operations. For today’s flight the Blue Angels will start from Dallas/ Ft Worth area than proceed to Houston metroplex and finally hitting New Orleans and back to NAS Pensacola, FL,.
I was out in Richardson Methodist Hospital to catch this memorial flight. By 1045 hrs the entire area near the hospital is full of cars and people staking out places to watch the fly over.
Blue Angels also will be sunsetting their current F/A-18C/D Legacy hornet that they are flying towards the newer F/A-18E/F Superhornet also mark a momento moment to catch the Legacy jets for their last time.
