Hurricane season usually hit East Coast this time of the year and 2016 is no exception with the onslaught of Mathew projected to hit Florida on Friday 10-7-2016. Our East Coast Squadrons was evacuated to NAS Ft worth. Notable units come from NAS Jacksonville. Our Navy’s latest and greatest Antisubmarine and marine-time aircraft P-8A Poseidon. Several units from NAS Jacksonville like VP-5 ( Mad Foxes ) VP-16 ( Eagles), VP-30 ( ProNest), VP-45 (Pelicans) and VP-8( Tigers) . Amongst the Fighters we got 93rd FS ( Makos) F-16C and also VMFA-251 ( Tbolts) .
Airwingspotter was out there in full force for the evacuations on 9-5-2016. 4x VMFA251 Tbolts F-18 came in the morning and this was followed by 8x P8a from VP5 and VP8.

We also get to catch 12x 93rd FS ( Makos) F-16C. 4 of them came in 10-4-2016 while 8 of them came in on the 5th.
That afternoon we did catch our local boys namely 457thFS “Spads” F-16 coming back from training and Lockheed Martin got a F-16V up testing .
C-130 was also in the pattern and a single T-6 from Sheppard AFB!….. all in all a very eventful Wedesday afternoon in NAS Ft worth.
