Vipers and Lightnings!
A great day indeed even though 10-26-2015 falls on a Monday. I manage to get my buddy Andy Ngyuen and we are in the base by 2pm. Winds was out of the North and runway 36 was active ……..
Here are the aircraft types we got on that day.
Strike 1-1 and 1-2 were Lockheed Martin F-35C for VFA-101 Grim Reapers and F-16D chaser respectively. Both aircraft was out backtaxi on the main runway and did an afterburner take off.
457th FS ” Spads” was doing their routine training and 8 of the F-16C Blk 30 and F-16D came out in lightweight Air to Air configuration. Came back and gave us a spectacular show doing low key option runs especially by aircraft 222 …. He did an option run and did the wing wave…..

AIrforce F-35A and spotter came out for her maiden flight but unfortunately, due to technical fault the flight was cancel
GO Marines……. VMFA-121Green Knights ! …….. He did a conventional take off and Landing… Oh well! better luck next time.
